I have programmed in Ada, Assembler (Both MIPS and VAX), C, C++, Java, Lisp, Pascal, and Perl. I have also written CGI’s in BASH, C, and Perl. I have experience writing database frontends for both Postgresql and MySQL in Java or Perl.
I have experience using and maintaining the following platforms and operating systems: Linux (2.x), Irix 6.3, DEC OSF1 (Digital Unix), Sun OS 4.1.x, Solaris 2.5, Win '95 and Win NT. |

Research Experience
|
| |
I have worked on the TADAA research project which focused on using parallel techniques in cooperation with agents to control the outcome of an animation. This was done using C and PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) in conjunction with Mesa, an API similar to OpenGL. The project page can be found at http://www.css.tayloru.edu/~tadaa.
I have also taken Directed Research, headed by Dr. Toll. My project was helping him with his doctorate research on optimizing point data sets for the production of a three dimensional triangle mesh. My main interest was investigating on noise removal and smoothing affects on a three dimensional data set. I wrote a 3D point smoothing function and also a vector normal smoothing function. This was used to clean data that had randomly noisy points. |
