Anna Brandle's Pre-Birth Story

'Twas the day before birth and all through the house we're keeping occupied. Here Grandmother-to-be MaryJane Fandrich is reading. Christina and Stefan know that they are driving to the hospital right after dinner, but haven't yet told anyone else.
Grandmother-to-be Angela Brandle also has a literary bent and is here pictured reading through her Christmas gift, a book on roses.
Mother-to-be Christina is giving the sort of sneaky grin that comes from having insider information about today's schedule. She is also doing her best to look at least somewhat pregnant. (To her mild annoyance, a week before the birth, a store checkout clerk asked her whether she knew someone who was expecting!)
We had called the doctor and were told to come in, but Christina just hated to waste all that effort preparing for Christmas dinner and wasn't quite ready for hospital food, so we got permission to wait a few more hours.
After dinner -- a light one for Christina, who was cautioned about eating too much by the doctor -- we hop onto our four-wheeled pony and make a dash for the hospital after dinner (4:30pm ish). Christina is pictured enjoying a quite moment of posing after emerging from the pony.
Christina is being checked out to determine whether we stay or get to go back home (to the rest of the dinner that Christina wanted to eat, but didn't, "just in case it all comes back up".)
To stay, or not to stay? TO STAY! We break out the reading.
