Anna Brandle's Birth Story

Christina's earlier response to a question about whether we should take pictures during any phase of labor!
No, Stefan didn't spend the whole time playing with computers, but there were plently of them around. (The nurses don't condone trying to reprogram or otherwise mess with these particular computers.)
Anna -- age 10 minutes or thereabouts -- gets a quick cleanup and checkup.

(I know, this is a big jump from staring peacefully at computer equipment, but our intrepid journalists weren't about to challenge the media blackout order.)
And more cleanup, clucking, and fussing over...
Shortly after, back at the ranch with Christina.
Breakfast for Christina. (Sorry, but an earlier breakfast for Anna falls under previously mentioned media blackout order.)
The official "Mother and papoose" shot? Not bad for the morning after. Christina is pretty happy about the outcome.
Father-daughter bonding time.

No, this is not a "Father and papoose" shot. However, you might be interested in the illustrated baby burrito recipe found elsewhere on this web page.
Grandmother Angela very quickly decides that she likes Anna.
Grandfather Willy follows suite! First grandchild for Stefan's side of the family.
Grandmother MaryJane arrives. How do two grandmothers simultaneously hold a baby? They go into "baby time-share mode".
Musical grandchild continues.
MaryJane is decidedly pleased with the outcome and gets ready to run through all one hundred rolls of film purchased for the occasion.
Anna has this horrible feeling that she'll be subjected to years and years of family pictures if she doesn't do something now to nip it in the bud. "I know, maybe if I sleep through the first few family pictures, they'll get discouraged and give up the idea."
