The Taylor University Research Department is closely tied to Physics Department. The majority of research is related to the physics of earth's magnetosphere and the radiation/particles in it. These projects include several satellite instruments already flown, one satellite instrument in the final stages of development, and one rocket borne instrument in the early stages of development. Several other more terrestrial based programs are also in progress. All of these projects provide practical experience for students in areas related to their majors. Even though highly related to physics all majors are encouraged to participate.
