Neutrinos are nearly-massless microscopic particles that are produced in many
nuclear and particle interactions. They are produced copiously in the fusion
reactions that power the sun; the resulting flux of neutrinos incident on the
earth may be used as a probe of the solar interior. Interactions involving
neutrinos are also of interest in super-dense "neutron stars".
Theoretical investigations have included studies
of neutrinos in dense stellar environments and in vacuum, and have also
focused on the origin of neutrino masses. This work has been published in
Physical Review D and in the proceedings of Neutrino '98. Recent work has
been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
