There are only four or five "Highways" in the country. The main ones, the Northern Highway and the Western Highway are nicely paved, two-lane roads, with no stripes down the center or sides. They are very similar to our county roads. Traffic moves along them at 50-60mph. The other highways are often wide, rough gravel roads with occasional ragged strips of blacktop down the middle (not quite wide enough for 2 wheels!). I can't imagine travel on these roads in the old Toyota, even the Jeep really bounces all over the place.
Due to a broken bracket on one shock, we were unable to make a trip to the more rugged areas. Car repairs are often difficult to obtain. Ken made calls on Monday to locate the needed part and request the repair but had not been able to get the simple job done a week later.
